Derived from several of Wrights projects This glass design is inspired by the spiraling ramps of Frank Lloyd Wrights circular building designs Wright created in the last decades of his career. Wright included spiral ramps in several of his unexecuted designs and in three of his built projects: the V.C. Morris Gift Shop, David & Gladys Wright House and, possibly his most well-known building, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) is recognized world-wide as one of the greatest architects of the twentieth century. His work heralded a new thinking in architecture, using innovation in design and engineering made possible by newly developed technology and materials. His creative ability extended far beyond the border of architecture to graphic design, furniture, art glass, textiles, and decorative elements for the home.
